About Me

I'm Joel Enrique Echeverri Martinez, a dedicated Computer Science student at Lake Washington Institute of Technology with a 4.0 GPA, and an Aviation Technical Support Associate at SpaceX. My journey in technology began with fascination for how systems work, evolving into a passion for using code to solve problems and improve lives.

What started as curiosity about programming during my early career in customer service transformed into a deep commitment to computer science. I pursued my degree to formalize my technical knowledge and develop rigorous problem-solving skills. My passion stems from witnessing how well-designed systems can streamline operations.

At SpaceX, I provide critical technical support for multinational enterprise customers in extreme environments—from offshore vessels to aviation platforms. I excel at troubleshooting complex connectivity issues and building data-driven solutions that reduce resolution times by up to 20%. My work philosophy centers on empathy, continuous improvement, and ensuring technology serves human needs.

Technically, I'm proficient in Python, SQL, Java, and full-stack web development with Node.js, Express.js, and React.js. I'm particularly interested in data analytics, machine learning, and building scalable systems. My career goals focus on roles combining software engineering and data science, with interest in aviation, space technology, and critical infrastructure.

Beyond technology, I'm committed to personal growth and community impact. As a Youth Advisor with the Scouts of Panama, I led leadership development programs and environmental initiatives, earning Advisor of the Year in 2019. I'm bilingual in English and Spanish, enriching my ability to collaborate in diverse teams. I value work-life balance and continuous learning.

My professional values emphasize integrity, collaboration, and innovation. I approach challenges with analytical rigor while maintaining compassion for end-users. I strive to deliver solutions that are functional and sustainable.
